GloryThe final angry cry of the liar echoed as he fell into the pit of hell. For ages he roamed the earth forging a path of destruction, perversion, and death. Satan, the one who unleashed countless demons and snares.
The one who ripped families apart,
The one who launched confusion,
Who hid the truth,
Who masked the good news of Christ as a myth,
The one who ruthlessly conspired to see godly men fall,
To exploit children,
To see racism polarize the nations,
The one who directed terrorists, evil empires, corrupt leaders,
Who seduced God's church into slumber,
The one who since Genesis sought to destroy God's creation,
The one who inhabited holy ground for the sole purpose of
defilement,
The final cry of the liar,
The thief,
The serpent,
His final angry cry pierced the universe as he was thrown into the abyss The host watched in amazement as chains of addiction, abuse, sickness, mental disorders, and 10,000 other earth bound frailties fell from their wrists and ankles.
Suddenly a colossal roar from the mouths of God's redeemed shook the foundation of heaven. One span of the crowd told a million stories. Stories of healings Stories of resurrections, and of reunions. But more than anything else the story of victory. Banished were the fears of death, the uncertainties, of grief, of fear itself. It must have lasted for hours. No one grew weary of the celebration. We shouted aloud: Hallelujah!
Salvation and
glory belong to our God, For the Lord God reigns. Then the mighty doors of the dwelling of God opened. God's redeemed stood and awaited His arrival. A pure and holy light flooded Heaven's domain. We stood paralyzed by awe. I saw Him. (My King,My redeemer,My God.) His hands and brow bore the scars of sacrifice. I knew nothing of righteousness until that moment. I saw the righteousness that conquered every temptation known to man. I saw His
glory that shown at the mount of transfiguration. I saw His
grace, that powerful
grace that brought prostitutes, publicans, and lepers into total restoration. I saw His power that sent storm into reclusion, and sent demons running. I saw his laughter and joy that drew the smallest children to his side. I saw knowledge that dwarfed every concept of intelligence known to man. But most of all I saw my Savior. The one whose face I had sought since the day He saved me. As He entered, a holy hush fell upon the crowd and like a wave receding into the ocean we fell down and worshiped. In a way I could not describe in earthly terms, He embraced us all at that moment. His eyes were not the eyes of an angry judge. They were not the eyes of an aloof critic. Not the eyes of a sorrowful king. His eyes were filled with
love and peace and joy and triumph. All the suffering ceased. He wiped the tears from our eyes.
How could we not shout? How could we not lift our hands? How could we not bow? Hallelujah! Holy is your Name! You are Worthy! Forever I'll stand and praise you! Behold the nations are a drop in the bucket In light of His coming.
He is worthy
Of honor
And
gloryAnd power
Forever.
Amen.
